DIMAPUR — Awareness and Benefit Saturation camp under the Dharti Aaba Janbhadari Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DA-JGUA) was held across various district headquarters and blocks in Nagaland on Tuesday.
Medziphema: The campaign for Medziphema sub-division was launched at the City Centre, Medziphema, with participation of multiple government departments, including Medical, RD/NSRLM, Social Welfare, Agriculture, Fisheries, Horticulture, Industries & Commerce, Food & Civil Supplies, CSC, LDM, and SCK.
According to a DIPR report, the departments provided scheme information, conducted awareness sessions, set up a help desk, and distributed free medicines to tribal communities.
The campaign, supervised by ADC Medziphema P James Swu, SDO Tsalemla Sangtam and EAC Vithwel Kweho, witnessed active participation from all tribal beneficiaries of nine villages under Medziphema sub-division namely, Bunsang, Molvom, Maova, Socunoma, Tsiepama, Phiphema, Ruzuphema, Pherima, and Medziphema.

Chedema village: The block-level camp was held at the Panchayat Hall, Chedema village, Kohima Sadar, aimed to ensure the holistic development of tribal communities by bringing government schemes and services directly to the grassroots.
EAC of Kohima Sadar, Dr. Riku Khutso, introduced the DA-JGUA initiative and thanked participating departments for their coordinated efforts. He outlined the camp's objectives, including direct official-villager interactions, on-spot registrations, and identification of eligible beneficiaries.
Emphasising the essence of the programme, he encouraged villagers to understand the schemes and proactively avail themselves of the benefits without waiting until the last moment.
In her opening remarks, Kewimesin Nriame, EAC , outlined the objectives of DA-JGUA, highlighting the need to improve developmental indicators in rural areas and ensure that villages are not left behind. She shared that the district administration has been coordinating closely with 11 line departments to effectively deliver services and identify eligible beneficiaries.
The programme commenced with a welcome address by Luolhoulie Chakruno, secretary of Chedema Village Council.
The camp also featured presentations by officials from various departments. A representative from the office of the BDO, Kohima, provided an overview of key government schemes being implemented in the district, including the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS) and the National Mobile Monitoring System (NMMS).
“All departmental presentations included detailed information on the various schemes available, their purpose, eligibility criteria, the application process, and how beneficiaries could avail them. This ensured that villagers received a comprehensive understanding of the services being offered,” the report stated.

Niuland: The Niuland district administration organised the third phase of the DA-JGUA campaign at Kuhoxu village ground, comprising of Kuhoxu, Hovishe, Hakhizhe and Hovukhu villages.
EAC Niuland, Vitoka Yepthomi, highlighted the aims ad objectives of the campaign. The Department of Agriculture, SCK IDAN, Medical, Horticulture and Veterinary & Animal Husbandry departments presented brief information on various departmental schemes.
Chairman of Kuhoxu Village Council, Phuhoyi Zhimomi, in a brief speech, thanked the district administration and all the concerned departments for providing doorstep service at the grass root level.
Tuensang: The awareness-cum-saturation camp was held at Longkhipeh village under Chare Block, Tuensang. It was organized under the initiative of EAC Chare, Zerutso, along with representatives from various line departments, banks and post office. The campaign covered seven cluster villages namely, Longkhipeh, Tongra, Alisopur, Chare, New Chungliyimti, Old Tsadang, and Old Mangakhi.
Meanwhile, the DA-JGUA campaign was also conducted at Suruhuto town under Zunheboto district on June 23 and the 24th.
