DIMAPUR — Awareness and Benefit Saturation Camp under the Dharti Aaba Janbhadari Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DA-JGUA) was held across various district headquarters and block in Nagaland.
Kigwema: A district-level awareness and benefit saturation camp under was conducted at the council hall, Kigwema village, Kohima district, on Monday.
According to a DIPR report, the initiative was organised by the office of the SDO (Civil) Jakhama, in collaboration with various line departments.
SDO (C) Vineikho Tetso, in his introductory remarks, highlighted that the objective of the camp is to bring governance closer to the people and ensure that all eligible beneficiaries are covered under various government flagship schemes.
He emphasised the importance of public participation, awareness, and inter-departmental coordination to achieve 100% benefit saturation at the grassroots level.

A key highlight of the event was the one-on-one interaction between beneficiaries and the line departments. On-the-spot services, enrolments, and registrations under various flagship schemes were carried out, enabling immediate access to welfare programmes.
The camp served as a platform to strengthen the interface between citizens and government departments, fostering transparency, responsiveness, and efficiency in public service delivery.
Deputy CMO, Kohima, Dr. Imchatoshi; CDPO Jakhama, Zambemo Jami, and BDO Jakhama, Vilopi Sa, spoke on various government schemes. The programme was attended by representatives from villages of Southern Angami region, including Kezoma, Kidima, Pfuchama, Phesama, Mima, Kigwema, Jakhama, Viswema, and Khuzama.
Shamator: The ongoing campaign was conducted at Shamator village on Monday, led by M Lakiumong, CDPO Shamator.
The awareness campaign was organised on women safety and security schemes, along with a PMMVY (Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana) registration drive and sanitary pads distribution.
Women were informed about various government schemes and initiatives promoting their safety and security. Eligible beneficiaries were registered for the PMMVY scheme, providing financial support to pregnant and lactating mothers. Sanitary pads were distributed to promote menstrual hygiene and health among women.
As part of the ongoing campaign, an awareness camp was also organised at Yakor village, Shamator district, on June 22, focusing on women safety and security schemes.
The district administration and District Hub for Women's Empowerment jointly organised an awareness campaign on women's safety and security schemes, along with PMMVY registration and sanitary pad distribution, supported by a helpdesk for pregnant and lactating mothers.
Changtongya: Sub-divisional Officer (Civil) Changtongya, Mokokchung district, Nukshimatong, launched the awareness and benefit saturation camp at Changtongya town under on Monday. The camp covered three villages, namely Unger, Changtongya and Yaongyimsem.
Seithekema: The awareness-cum-saturation campaign was conducted in Seithekema Block under Chümoukedima district, headed by Seyiekhrietuo Solo, EAC, Seithekema, on June 20.

In his opening remarks, SDO (C) of Chümoukedima, Chumben Murry, stated DA-JGUA aims to create awareness and achieve 100% saturation of government schemes among eligible beneficiaries, focusing on tribal areas for holistic development and empowerment.
He emphasised that both line departments and the community play crucial roles: departments facilitate scheme enrolment, while the community mobilises eligible members to participate and benefit.
Murry urged line departments and community members to work in synergy for the campaign's success and appreciated EAC, HQ, Seithekema for organising the programme, hoping it would help bridge infrastructure and socio-economic gaps in the district.
Seyiekhrietuo Solo invited villagers to visit the various stalls, requesting village authorities to guide them in accessing benefits. He also highlighted the opportunity to learn about departmental schemes and future benefits.
