DIMAPUR — The Combined Technical Association of Nagaland (CTAN) has served an ultimatum to the state government demanding immediate implementation of scale pay for RMSA-2016 teachers in compliance with court order.
In a representation addressed to the chief secretary on Monday, the CTAN reminded that the Gauhati High Court as well as the Supreme Court had ruled that the 2016 batch of RMSA teachers are entitled to receive scale pay.
However, it alleged that inaction on the part of the department of School Education has compelled the aggrieved teachers to resort to democratic forms of protest.
“The root cause of the affected students’ academic career lies with the government’s negligence,” the CTAN stated, while warning that failure to implement the court’s order would only invite “necessary democratic actions.”
