Cricket Association Patkai defeats PCC Staff Cricket Club by seven wickets to win the inaugural Patkai Premier Cricket League in Chümoukedima.

DIMAPUR — Cricket Association Patkai (CAP) won the inaugural Patkai Premier Cricket League (PPCL) 2026, defeating PCC Staff Cricket Club (PSCC) by seven wickets in the final at Patkai Ground in Chümoukedima.
Organised by Patkai Cricket Club and supported by G-Sports Nagaland, the tournament took place from April 29 to May 9. According to an update, the Department of Mass Communication at Patkai Christian College (Autonomous) handled media coverage and liaison duties.
Opting to bat first after winning the toss, PSCC was bowled out for 95 runs in 12 overs. Ramreipam Kapai scored 27 runs for the team. CAP bowler Huvezo Thingo led the attack with a five-wicket haul, taking five wickets for 33 runs.
In reply, CAP successfully chased the target in 17.5 overs. Opener Eniro Murry remained unbeaten on 38 runs, supported by Panchanan Thakur with 19 runs and Kensibo Pamai with an unbeaten 18. For PSCC, Babasiba Hazarika took two wickets for 12 runs.

Defaulters XI finished third in the tournament, while Eagle Strikers placed fourth.
Nagaland Ranji Trophy player and Patkai Class of 2023 alumnus Joshua Ben Ozukum attended the closing ceremony as the special guest. Ozukum and Chara Enterprise, Dimapur, sponsored the prize money. The champions received INR 5,000, and the runners-up received INR 3,000.
G-Sports Nagaland sponsored all tournament trophies and partially sponsored medals and jerseys.
Individual awards were presented to Obed Guria of PSCC (Player of the Tournament), Dhananjoy Singh of PSCC (Best Batsman), Babasiba Hazarika of PSCC (Best Bowler), and Huvezo Thingo of CAP (Man of the Match).
