- DIMAPUR — The
Legal Metrology and Consumer Protection (LMCP) of Zunheboto division and Green
Club Zunheboto (GCZ) jointly conducted an awareness programme on consumer
protection at the youth hall with town councilors, GBs and colony council members
from different wards in Zunheboto town on Thursday.
- An update from Green Club Zunheboto stated that advocate
Tovi Z Yeptho, deputy legal aid defence council and resource person,
deliberated on consumer rights, consumer redressal and also on how to file
complaints by the consumers. He further encouraged the gathering to know their
rights and be well aware of the malpractices.
- The programme was chaired by Tavinto K Sümi, president of
Green Club Zunheboto, while the keynote address was delivered by Khevishe
Zhimo, assistant controller of LMCP.

- Meanwhile, the organisers have thanked the MLA and advisor
of Food and Civil Suipplies and LMCP, KT Sukhalu, for his concern and support
in creating awareness programme on consumer protection and consumer rights in
the district in particular and Nagas in general.
