Congress leader Rajesh Kumar Sethi Jain seeks policy clarity for long-standing businesses in Nagaland
DIMAPUR — Congress leader and former Chairman of the Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee Minority Department, Rajesh Kumar Sethi Jain, has called for greater clarity on policies affecting long-standing non-Naga residents and businesses in Nagaland.
In a statement, Jain, currently the National Coordinator of the All India Congress Committee (AICC) Minority Department and In-charge of Manipur State, said that while the state government's efforts to attract corporate investment are welcome, concerns relating to the Inner Line Permit (ILP), land ownership, education, healthcare and employment also need attention.
He claimed that some business families have faced uncertainty, with a few reportedly relocating their businesses to other states.

Jain said that protecting Nagaland's constitutional identity under Article 371A and encouraging investment should go hand in hand. He urged the state government to ensure a predictable and inclusive business environment for both new investors and existing entrepreneurs.
He also sought clarification from the government on policies affecting long-standing residents and their economic participation in the state.
