City Law College Students’ Union organises its first cultural day with Dr. Andrew Ahoto Sema urging students to uphold legal principles and humility.

DIMAPUR — The Students’ Union of City Law College organised its first cultural day at the college premises on February 27.
The programme was attended by Dr. Andrew Ahoto Sema, Chairman of the Young Men's Christian Association (YMCA) Northeast and Chairman of Livingstone Foundation International, as the chief guest.
According to an update, he was accompanied by his wife, Ani Yepthomi. The event was also attended by the chairman, the principal, faculty and students of the college.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Andrew encouraged students to uphold the true spirit of the legal profession. He stated that the uniform of an advocate symbolises the principles of law, "black and white", and reminded students that in law, there is no shade of grey.
He urged them to always stand firmly for what is right and just. He encouraged the students to remain humble in life, stating that true greatness lies in humility. He further expressed his wishes for the students to become successful lawyers working for the betterment of society and law-abiding professionals in the future.
A cultural Sumi folk song, ‘Lejole’, was presented by the students. A talk on “Symbolism and Konyak Naga identity” was delivered by Ngamnon, 6th semester.
