Centre releases INR 2.25 crore to Nagaland under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana for rural road development in FY 2025–26.

DIMAPUR — The Ministry of Rural Development has released INR 2.25 crore to Nagaland as the first tranche of the first installment of the Administrative Fund under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) for the financial year 2025–26.
According to a press release issued by the Press Information Bureau (PIB) on Wednesday, the corresponding state share for this installment is INR 0.25 crore.
The funds are to be transferred by the state government to the Nagaland Rural Roads Development Agency within 30 days of receipt. The ministry has stated that any delay in transferring the central share beyond the 30-day period will attract an interest charge of 7 percent per annum.
PMGSY is a centrally sponsored scheme aimed at improving rural connectivity through all-weather roads.
