A coordination meeting with the district administration of Dimapur was convened on February 20 at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office. It was attended by the DEO, principal of DIET Dimapur, sub-divisional education officers (SDEOs), Educational Block Resource Centre (EBRC) officials, principals and headmasters of PM SHRI schools, and officials from Samagra Shiksha Nagaland.
During the review meeting, DEO Dimapur presented a status report on the implementation of six pillars under the PM SHRI scheme: Curriculum Pedagogy and Assessment, Access and Infrastructure, Human Resource and School Leadership, Inclusive Practices and Gender Equity, Management Monitoring and Governance, and Beneficiary Satisfaction.
During the discussion, Kumar expressed concern over the decline in student enrolment and poor transition rates, especially from Class 9 to Class 10 in some PM SHRI schools.
