
DIMAPUR — A Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC) and Pre-Vayu Sainik Camp, conducted by 1 Nagaland Air Squadron NCC at Patkai Christian College, concluded on July 6.
The camp commenced on June 27 and saw participation from over 400 Air Wing Cadets from various districts of Nagaland, Mizoram, and Assam.
During the 10 days of diverse training, the cadets participated in military, sports, and cultural activities under the guidance of experienced instructors and officers. According to an update, the camp included a comprehensive training curriculum aimed at holistic development and preparedness.
It featured physical training (PT), drill practice, weapon training sessions, public speaking workshops, a tree plantation drive, educational films, and motivational lectures.
The camp served as a preparatory ground for cadets and also emerged as a platform for selecting talent to represent the north-eastern region at the prestigious All India Vayu Sainik Camp.
It stated that those selected demonstrated exceptional performance across all training modules, showcasing a blend of skill, dedication, and exemplary conduct, and the 1 Naga Air Squadron won the inter-unit competition.
