- DIMAPUR — The
Dimapur unit of All Nagaland State Service Employees Association (CANSSEA) has
resolved to show solidarity with the All India State Government Employees
Federation (AISGEF) by participating in the proposed strike scheduled on July
9.
- The resolution to this effect was taken during its general
meeting held on Saturday at Hotel Saramati in Dimapur. An update from the unit
stated that issues pertaining to 8th ROP, CMHIS, reverting to old pension
scheme were deliberated at length and unanimously decided to support the
decision taken by the CANSSEA central team in all those issues.
- Speaking in the meeting, the unit president, I Anungba
Sanglir, reminded the members to ponder on what they could as government
servants and to serve the people more effectively. Admitting that government
servants faces different challenges at times, he advised the gathering for
reflecting on the needs honestly rather than to just raise complaints.

- "Whatever we decide today is not only for us but for
shaping the future of officers and staff, who will come after us," he
maintained.
- The house also decided to form a fund raising committee
comprising members from Taxes, Excise, Geology and Mining, Food and Civil
Supplies, NST, Land Survey and Records and district administration. Collection
of annual membership was also discussed in the meeting.
