- DIMAPUR — Following Congress leader Adhir
Ranjan Chowdhury’s comment accusing Prime Minister Narendra Modi of engaging in
“politics of vendetta and intimidation” after the Enforcement Directorate’s
charge sheet against Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and others in connection with
the National Herald case, the BJP Nagaland on Wednesday staged a protest
outside its office in Dimapur.
- Addressing a press conference after the protest, BJP
Nagaland unit General Secretary Manai Konyak and Co-Chief Spokesperson Akum
Pongen said the BJP will protest across the country till justice is delivered
in terms of the accusation made by the Congress leader against Modi.
- “Unless Chowdhury and the political party that he represents
tender public apology, the BJP will not stay silent,” he affirmed.
- BJYM Vice President Sedevele Angami, noting the protest held
by Congress against the chargesheet filed by ED, remarked that irrespective of
any party or entity, one should not go blind and make unwanted charges just
because of political differences.

- “We should give space to the court of law and enforcing
agency to carry out its work thoroughly. Terming it a political vendetta is a
cheap claim on the part of the Congress party. Why blame the prime minister or
a political party and try to divert the issue politically? If they are accusing
the PM or the party, then the Congress should substantiate their allegation
with proof,” he asserted.
