DIMAPUR — The Department of Employment, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship conducted a training on basic steel fabrication at Town Hall, Meluri, on March 16.
Mhathung Tsanglao, Deputy Commissioner of Meluri, who attended the programme as the guest speaker, encouraged the youths to avail themselves of opportunities in the form of skill development provided by the government.
According to an update, he stated that the present government is not in a position to give employment to all educated youths.
He asserted that opportunities such as these should be taken with vigour and enthusiasm. "Once we are properly trained and skilled in any profession, we help ourselves by becoming self-reliant and independent. Our livelihood becomes at ease. In doing so we not only help ourselves but also help build the society," he added.
