DIMAPUR — As part of the National AIDS Control Organisation's (NACO) two-month intensified IEC campaign, the Red Ribbon Club of Baptist Theological College (BTC), Pfutsero, organised an essay writing competition on September 11 at the college premises on the theme "Breaking barriers: HIV/AIDS awareness in the digital age."


An update from the college stated that the focal point of the competition was to create awareness about HIV and AIDS among students through creative expression and short impactful messages, thereby encouraged a deeper understanding and sensitivity towards the issue.

It stated that a total of sixteen students enthusiastically participated in the competition, demonstrating their knowledge and awareness on the topic. The results were announced on Friday during the BTC literary day and annual college award ceremony, which was attended by approximately 280 students, including faculty members and other guests.


It stated that Vethivolu Nyekha, SDO (R&B) of Pfutsero division and guest speaker, gave away cash prizes to the top three winners.
