- DIMAPUR — Axis
Bank, one of the largest private sector banks in India, has been conferred with
‘Rotary CSR Award 2025 for Community Involvement’ in the mega enterprise
category. The award was presented by Rotary International District 3131.
- The award recognised Axis Bank’s flagship education
programme ‘Axis Dil Se- Capt. Late N Kenguruse Maha Vir Chakra (MVC) Centre of
Excellence’ in Chieswema, Nagaland.
- An update from Axis Bank stated that the programme supports
Centres of Excellence (CoE) by offering academic coaching, mentoring and
holistic support for bright and deserving students from the northeast region.
The bank has helped over 650 students prepare for competitive exams such as
NEET and JEE with over 205 students enrolled in the current academic year.

- It stated that the Chieswema Centre is part of a wider
network of seven CoEs in the northeast including Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh,
Assam, Mizoram, Tripura and Ghaspani in Nagaland.
- The Centre is a collaboration of Axis Bank, National Integrity
Educational Development Organisation (NIEDO) and Sector Assam Rifles/IGAR
(N)/DGAR under the aegis of the Eastern Command of the Indian army.
- It stated that Assam Rifles plays a crucial role as a
facilitation partner, providing infrastructure, classroom and residential
facilities for students, teachers and support staff, ensuring a conducive, safe
and secure environment for the students.
