Awareness session on health & nutrition held at RFS Phek

DIMAPUR — An awareness session on the importance of health and nutrition, POCSO Act and Child Helpline 1098, was conducted at Royal Foundation School (RFS), Phek, on September 10, as part of the ongoing 10- day special awareness campaign under SANKALP- HEW on women-centric themes.

Dr. Pfukrolo Koza, senior dental surgeon and District Nodal Officer, NOHP & NTCP, stressed the need for proper health and nutrition, particularly in addressing anaemia among adolescents, an update stated.

Sakhi-OSC case worker Ratolu Khusoh raised awareness about preventing early child marriage under the POCSO Act.

Hutolu Kezo from Child Helpline 1098 Phek provided information about the helpline's services.

The programme was organised by district administration and SANKALP- Hub for Empowerment of Women Mission Shakti, Phek in collaboration with Health and Family Welfare, Sakhi- OSC and Child Helpline 1098 Phek.

Altogether, 300 adolescent boys and girls attended the programme. It stated.
