Sechü Zubza FC defeated Mez and Co 3–1 to win the league stage of the Atuo Mezhür Sekhose Super League.

KOHIMA — Sechü Zubza FC finished the league stage of the 1st Atuo Mezhür Sekhose Super League as champions after defeating Mez and Co 3–1 in the final league match at the IG Stadium, Kohima, on Saturday.
In Saturday's match, Sechü Zubza FC made a strong start, with Kevisanyü Peseyie opening the scoring in the fifth minute. Peseyie struck again in the 66th minute before completing his hat-trick in the 90th minute to put Sechü Zubza firmly in control.
Mez and Co were reduced to 10 men in the 65th minute after Haokhohen was shown a red card.
Despite playing a man down, Mez and Co managed to find a late consolation through Vinato, who scored in the second minute of stoppage time, but Sechü Zubza held on to secure a 3–1 victory.
The league stage of the 1st Atuo Mezhür Sekhose Super League 2026 has concluded with all five teams having played four matches each, making the final standings directly comparable.
Sechü Zubza FC finished as clear league champions with a perfect record of four wins from four matches and 12 points. They scored 17 goals and conceded only four, giving them the best goal difference in the competition at +13. Their unbeaten league campaign, combined with the strongest attacking and defensive record, puts them comfortably at the top.

Mez and Co finished second with nine points from four matches. They won three games and lost one, scoring 13 goals and conceding five for a +8 goal difference. Although they could not match Sechü Zubza's perfect run, Mez and Co were the second-highest scorers and had the second-best defensive record. Their strong league campaign earned them a place in the semi-finals.
Vanguard Academy finished third with four points, ahead of Tsütuonuomia Youth Organisation (TYO) on goal difference. Vanguard recorded one win, one draw, and two defeats, scoring 11 goals while conceding 13. Despite conceding more than they scored, their four points were enough to secure the final semi-final position.
TYO also finished on four points, with one win, one draw, and two defeats. However, their inferior goal difference of -5 placed them fourth. They scored only four goals across four matches while conceding nine. Their 2–1 victory over Nurturing Youngsters FC in the final league match proved decisive in taking them into the semi-finals.
Nurturing Youngsters FC finished fifth without a point after losing all four of their matches. They scored six goals but conceded 20, leaving them with the poorest defensive record and a -14 goal difference. Their league campaign therefore ended at the bottom of the table.
The final standings also establish the semi-final match-ups for the Super Cup. League champions Sechü Zubza FC will face fourth-placed TYO in the first semi-final on August 25 at 6 pm. Second-placed Mez and Co will meet third-placed Vanguard Academy in the second semi-final on August 27 at 6 pm. The winners of the semi-final matches will vie for the Super Cup, scheduled on August 29 at 6 pm.
