DIMAPUR — The Dimapur Town Nepali Baptist Church, Duncan, observed the Association of the Gorkha Baptist Churches Nagaland (AGBCN) Youth Sunday on the theme "Passing the torch" (2 Timothy 2:2-4). The event was marked by participation from all Gorkha churches across Nagaland.
According to an update, the programme began with a praise worship session led by the youth ministry, followed by an opening prayer from Thomas Sangma.
Youth Pastor Kamal Sharma of DTNBC Duncan delivered the sermon, stressing the importance of faith, perseverance, and mentorship. He urged parents and church leaders to live impactful lives that influence young people and to pass on the faith, responsibility, wisdom and service they have received from Christ.
He encouraged the youth to embrace these responsibilities faithfully, referring to Luke 9:62.
A special prayer for the youth and the AGBCN Youth Department was offered by Dilu Gurung.
