New Assistant Dairy Development Officer office inaugurated in Manja to enhance dairy sector services and rural livelihoods.

DIPHU — In a move aimed at strengthening the dairy sector in Karbi Anglong, a new office building for the Assistant Dairy Development Officer (ADDO) under the Town Milk Supply Scheme was inaugurated at Manja on Wednesday.
The building was inaugurated by D Uphing Maslai, Executive Member (EM) of the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) in charge of the Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Department. Speaking at the event, Maslai expressed satisfaction with the new infrastructure and underscored the importance of dairy development in improving rural livelihoods and ensuring nutritional security in the region.

He stated that the new facility is expected to improve administrative efficiency and enhance the delivery of dairy-related schemes and services for residents in and around Manja.
Other dignitaries present at the event included KAAC EM Tiluttoma Hasnu; KAAC Secretary Bidyashri Langthasa; District Veterinary Officer Dr. Dilip Mahanta; Dr. Krishna Kanta Das, Assistant, Dairy Extension Service, Dairy Development Department; and Assistant Dairy Development Officer Amit Tahbildar. Several other officials and staff members, including Dr. Anthony Phangcho, Dr. A. Rahman, and Dr. Sabnam Engtipi, also attended the function.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks and a collective pledge to promote dairy entrepreneurship and cooperative development in the district.
