Assam Rifles, Sunbird Trust install solar lights in Kiphire villages

• DIMAPUR — Assam Rifles, in collaboration with Sunbird Trust, installed solar street lights in multiple villages of Kiphire district.

• Residents of Phelungre with Assam Rifles personnel and representatives of Sunbird Trust during the solar light distribution programme.

• Located in challenging and remote terrain, an update stated that these villages have long struggled with erratic electricity supply. The installation of solar street lights has brought much-needed illumination, enhancing security, mobility, and the overall quality of life for the villagers.

• It was mentioned that the village councils and residents of Seyochung, Singrep, and Phelungre conveyed their appreciation, lauding Assam Rifles and Sunbird Trust for their gesture.

• Meanwhile, Assam Rifles conducted a special programme in the run-up to International Yoga Day at Chieswema Garrison.
