- DIMAPUR — In
light of the upcoming 11th International Day of Yoga, Assam Rifles conducted a
yoga awareness session with students of Government Primary School, Wakching
village, in Mon district on Thursday.
- The session was held to promote physical fitness and mental
well-being among children through the ancient practice of yoga, stated a press
release.

- It said trained personnel from Assam Rifles guided the
students through basic yoga asanas and breathing exercises suitable for their
age group, emphasising the importance of daily practice for overall
development.
- In addition to the interactive session, the Assam Rifles
also provided reading material related to yoga and wellness. The material was
shared digitally in mobile-friendly formats and via QR codes for easy access.

- Assam Rifles, in collaboration with Sunbird Trust,
distributed 19 solar lights in Noklak and Shamator villages.
- It was mentioned that this initiative was undertaken at the
request of the local populace, arising from their critical need to illuminate
local pathways, the main axis to the main road, and common areas.
