Assam Rifles, Sunbird Trust distribute solar lights

Assam Rifles personnel and villagers work together to install a solar street light.

• DIMAPUR — With the aim of promoting renewable energy resources, Assam Rifles, in collaboration with Sunbird Trust, distributed 56 solar street lights in Tanhai, Totak Chingnyu, and Longmein villages of Mon district and in Chungotore, FIC (Angangba), and Sangsomong villages of Tuensang district.

• According to an update, the combined team visited the villages, distributed the lamps, and educated the villagers on the installation, maintenance, and usage of these lights.

• It was mentioned that the solar lights will provide reliable and eco-friendly illumination, benefiting over 3,809 residents of these villages.
