Assam Rifles organises skill development awareness meeting in Pungro sub-division.

DIMAPUR — Assam Rifles organised a skill development awareness meeting in Pungro sub-division, Kiphire district, on December 21, with the aim of empowering local villagers, unemployed youth and women by providing information on world-class skill development opportunities.
The programme was conducted in collaboration with Bharat Vikas Group, during which detailed information about the 23 courses initiative was shared with the participants, a defence release stated.
The villagers were briefed on various skill development courses related to hospital services, retail trade and hospitality, aimed at enhancing employability and promoting self-reliance.
More than 700 participants, including villagers, school children, unemployed youth and women, attended the programme.
The event was attended by S Kiusumew Yimchunger, MLA of Pungro–Kiphire Assembly Constituency, along with GBs and senior officials of Pungro sub-division.

The participants appreciated the initiative and expressed keen interest in enrolling for the skill development courses.
The gathering lauded the efforts of Assam Rifles for its continuous contribution towards the welfare and development of the region, and conveyed their desire to build a happy, skilled and self-reliant future through such initiatives.
“Assam Rifles remains committed to the socio-economic development of the local population and continues to work towards youth empowerment and community welfare in the Pungro sub-division,” the release stated.
