DIMAPUR — Assam Rifles organised an outreach visit for 33 NIEDO students and staff of Chieswema Garrison, Kohima district, to Tabitha Enabling Academy, an orphanage located in Kohima, as part of its ongoing efforts to promote social responsibility and community engagement among the youth.
During the visit, the students interacted with the children and staff of the academy, gaining valuable insights into their daily lives, challenges and aspirations, a defence release stated.
The interaction fostered a spirit of empathy, compassion and mutual understanding. In a gesture of support, the students purchased various clothing items and ceramic products made by the residents of the academy.
