Rifles, Noklak Village Council, Thang Public Organisation, and Thang Students
Union jointly held a felicitation ceremony at White Hall, Noklak district, to
honour Padma Shri L Hangthing and other achievers from the district on June 2.
- According to an update, the event celebrated the spirit of
excellence and unity in Noklak district and honoured distinguished individuals
for their outstanding achievements in various fields.

Assam Rifles personnel and others clear fallen trees and
debris from the Changlang-Loktang-Khonsa road following a heavy rain.
- Meanwhile, torrential rain caused a landslide that blocked
the Changlang-Loktang-Khonsa road. The landslide, triggered by continuous rain,
brought mudslides and fallen trees that obstructed a key section of the road,
disrupting traffic and isolating nearby villages.
- Responding to the situation, Assam Rifles mobilised
personnel along with essential equipment, including earth movers and chainsaws.
The troops worked to clear the debris, cut through fallen trees, and restore
connectivity in close coordination with the civil administration.

- It was mentioned that the timely intervention ensured the
resumption of emergency movement and brought much-needed relief to local
residents.
