DIMAPUR — Assam Rifles on July 2 night responded to an urgent call for blood donation to save the life of a 3-year-old child, Shetsito Kezo, diagnosed with gastro-intestinal bleeding at District Hospital Phek.
A defence release stated that the young patient, a resident of Phek village, required ‘A’ positive blood for emergency treatment. Displaying exceptional responsiveness and compassion, Assam Rifles personnel promptly came forward to donate the required blood, ensuring that the child received immediate and life-saving medical intervention.

It stated that the noble act reflected the unwavering commitment of Assam Rifles towards community welfare and their critical role as first responders in humanitarian and medical emergencies.
