DIMAPUR — Assam Rifles conducted a series of welfare, healthcare, and community infrastructure activities in Peren and Tuensang districts.
In Jalukie, Peren district, Assam Rifles organised a "Rubaru" session on emotional well-being for families under the theme "Apne jazbaaton ko samjhana" (Understanding Our Emotions).
According to an update, the session, aimed at exploring emotional well-being and strengthening interpersonal bonds, was conducted by Dr. Vandini Setia.
She led a discussion on the connection between emotional awareness and mental health, highlighting how creativity and empathy serve as tools to nurture the mind and help individuals navigate stressors associated with military life.

A total of 26 families participated in the interactive session, sharing their experiences and learning practical strategies for emotional regulation and psychological growth.
Additionally, Assam Rifles, in collaboration with the National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme (NTEP), Peren district, conducted an awareness lecture on tuberculosis (TB) under the 'TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan' at Assam Rifles Public School (ARPS), Jalukie, on May 27.
The educational initiative aimed to raise awareness about tuberculosis, its symptoms, prevention, and the importance of early detection among students and teachers. Medical experts and representatives from NTEP Peren shared insights on treatment facilities available under government schemes and spoke on erasing the social stigma associated with the disease.
In Tuensang, Assam Rifles provided community infrastructure support to Saksi village on May 26.
Solar lights, a water tank, and shelter stores were handed over to the community hall at Saksi village as part of ongoing community development and welfare initiatives.
The assistance, aimed at strengthening basic infrastructure and enhancing facilities, is expected to benefit approximately 3,800 residents by facilitating better utilisation of the community hall for social gatherings, meetings, and other community activities.
