DIMAPUR — The Assam Rifles conducted various programmes in the Peren district, focusing on healthcare and youth empowerment.
According to an update, it organised a free medical camp at Mhainamatsi village in the Peren district. This initiative was aimed at providing essential healthcare services and medical assistance to residents living in remote areas with limited access to health facilities.
The medical camp provided a range of services, including general health checkups, blood pressure monitoring, and diabetes screening. In addition to the consultations, essential medicines were distributed free of cost to those in need.

A total of 78 locals from Mhainamatsi and surrounding areas came forward to avail themselves of these medical services.
Also, as part of the ongoing two-week pre-recruitment training at Jalukie, the Assam Rifles organised a series of physical fitness assessments for local youth.
This initiative aims to prepare candidates for the specific standards required in the upcoming Agniveer recruitment rallies. A total of 34 candidates, including 31 boys and three girls, took part in the session.
The assessment included a timed 1.6 km run, pull-ups, jumping across a 9-foot ditch, and crossing zigzag obstacles.
