Assam Rifles hosts a community outreach event in Peren and a student health screening in Chieswema.
DIMAPUR — Assam Rifles conducted a community outreach programme in Peren district and an annual health screening camp in Chieswema on September 4.
In Peren, the community outreach programme was held at Old Ngaulong Lodhi Village under the Tening sub-division, according to an update.
During the programme, Assam Rifles provided sports items and, in collaboration with the Community Health Centre Tening, provided essential medical assistance to the village council. Around 80 villagers, including members of the village administration, participated in the programme.
The medical outreach provided basic healthcare assistance and an opportunity for interaction with the local community. A dedicated awareness session was also conducted on personal hygiene, sanitation, prevention of seasonal diseases, and the importance of timely medical care.
Meanwhile, Assam Rifles conducted an annual health screening and medical check-up for students of the Assam Rifles Public School (ARPS) in Chieswema.

The health screening aimed to assess the overall health status of the students and promote awareness about preventive healthcare and healthy living practices.
The medical check-up included an assessment of general health parameters, a physical examination, and the identification of health concerns requiring further attention.
The students were also sensitised to the importance of personal hygiene, balanced nutrition, regular physical activity, adequate rest, and healthy lifestyle practices.
Stress was laid on the early identification of health issues and the importance of regular health monitoring during growing years.
A total of 45 students of ARPS, Chieswema, benefited from the health screening and medical check-up.
