MSME-DFO Dimapur conducted a branding and marketing workshop in Jalukie, Peren, training PM Vishwakarma artisans in packaging, AI, e-commerce, export development and financial literacy.

DIMAPUR — The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of India, through the MSME Development and Facilitation Office (MSME-DFO), Dimapur, in collaboration with the Department of Industries and Commerce and District Industries Centre (DIC), Peren, organised a one-day awareness workshop on branding and marketing under the PM Vishwakarma Scheme at the Women Welfare Organisation (WWO) conference hall, Jalukie, Peren, on September 4.
The workshop focused on strengthening the entrepreneurial capabilities of PM Vishwakarma artisans through practical knowledge and technical guidance on product packaging, labelling and design, export development, artificial intelligence (AI), e-commerce, business development and financial literacy, a DIPR report stated.
An interactive session on AI and e-commerce onboarding was conducted by the State Programme Management Unit (SPMU), PM Vishwakarma. Participants were introduced to the fundamentals of AI prompt creation and the use of AI tools for product design ideation, digital marketing and business promotion.
They were also guided on onboarding their products onto e-commerce platforms to expand their market reach.
Vivek Kumar from India Post, Dimapur, conducted a demonstration on QR code generation, highlighting its potential to enhance the digital visibility of artisan products and facilitate wider market access.
The session on product packaging, labelling and design was conducted by Kimthailiu Panmei, founder of Crave Inn and Pink Blossoms Society.

She highlighted the importance of effective packaging in enhancing product value, marketability and brand recall.
Functional Manager, DIC Peren, Namziulung Pamai, conducted a session on export development, familiarising participants with the fundamentals of export readiness and opportunities for accessing international markets.
Lead District Manager, SBI Dimapur, Talinaro Longchar, interacted with the participants and addressed queries related to financial assistance, credit facilities and loan application procedures available to entrepreneurs and artisans.
Longchar also spoke on social security schemes of the Government of India, including the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY) and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY).
A session on business development was conducted by Financial Analyst, RAMP Scheme, DIC Peren, Kezhono Kennao.
The session covered integrated business growth planning, sound financial management practices, and the importance of networking and stakeholder engagement for enterprise sustainability and expansion.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Nikhilendra Y, IEDS, Assistant Director, MSME-DFO Dimapur.
He encouraged artisans to actively participate in government-led capacity-building initiatives and continue showcasing and promoting their products through such platforms to enhance their visibility and business prospects.
