Aotula T Imchen has assumed charge as Commissioner of Police, Dimapur, bringing extensive leadership experience from previous roles across Nagaland.

DIMAPUR — Aotula T Imchen assumed office as Commissioner of Police, Dimapur, on Friday, following a brief handover ceremony at the Commissioner of Police Headquarters.
She succeeds Kevithuto Sophie who has been promoted and posted as Inspector General of Police (Armed Battalion/IR) and IGP (Village Guards) at Police Headquarters, Kohima.
In her address after taking charge, Imchen said it was an honour to serve the people of the Police Commissionerate districts of Dimapur, Chümoukedima and Niuland.

“I am committed to upholding the rule of law, strengthening public trust, and ensuring the safety and security of all communities across our city. I seek the cooperation of all,” she stated.
According to an update from the Dimapur Police PRO, Imchen brings extensive operational and leadership experience to her new role. She has previously served as Deputy Commissioner of Police, Dimapur; Superintendent of Police, Mokokchung and Wokha; and Commandant of the 7th NAP Battalion.
Earlier in her career, she held postings across several districts of Nagaland in various mid-level positions.
