DIMAPUR — As part of Tsungremmong festival, the Ao Lanur Telongjem Chümoukedima (ALTC) organised a social work on Friday. The annual initiative, led by the ALTC, aims to commemorate the festival through meaningful community service activities.
An update from the organisation stated that this year’s social work focused on cleaning and painting of the iconic Patkai Bridge in Chümoukedima. It stated that the event witnessed enthusiastic participation from Ao community, reflecting a strong commitment toward environmental cleanliness and civic responsibility.
It expressed hope that the effort would inspire other tribes and communities to integrate social initiatives as part of their own cultural celebrations.

Meanwhile, ALTC expressed gratitude to all the volunteers who contributed towards successful conduct of the social work. It also thanked the councilor of Chümoukedima town ward-1 and her family for the generous support and donation of refreshments to all the participants.
