ANTA Longleng unit conducted a two-day Sumo taxi inspection drive to ensure vehicle safety and roadworthiness.

DIMAPUR — The All Nagaland Taxi Association (ANTA), Longleng unit, conducted a two-day vehicle inspection and mechanical check-up programme for all Sumo taxis operating under the association in Longleng district.
According to an update, Sumo taxi services under the ANTA Longleng unit were temporarily suspended for two days in connection with the annual inspection drive.
The inspection and mechanical check-up were carried out by the Nagaland State Transport (NST), Longleng, headed by the foreman along with his team of mechanics.

“This annual drive is conducted every year to ensure proper maintenance, roadworthiness, and operational safety of Sumo taxi vehicles, thereby preventing technical failures during service operations. The initiative was undertaken in the interest of the safety, security, and convenience of daily commuters and the general public,” it stated.
The ANTA Longleng unit expressed appreciation to the station superintendent, NST Longleng, and all the staff for their support and voluntary service rendered towards the successful conduct of the programme.
The association also acknowledged and thanked the owners of vehicles, drivers, the general public, and daily commuters for their cooperation and understanding during the temporary suspension of taxi services.
