Chümoukedima unit of All Nagaland Private Schools’ Association organises literary competition.

DIMAPUR — The Chümoukedima unit of All Nagaland Private Schools’ Association (ANPSA) on Friday organised a literary competition at Carmel Higher Secondary School, Chekiye village, on the theme “Exploring the best of mind and creativity.”
An update from the unit stated that the programme was held in two sessions namely the inaugural programme at 9:30 am and closing programme at 1:30 pm, which was chaired by Jessy, assistant teacher of Carmel School, and Mhasino Kuotsu, executive member of ANPSA, respectively.
Speaking at the closing programme, Nini Sekhose, president of ANPSA central, highlighted the importance of literary activities and the power of words. She congratulated participants and noted that such competitions build vocabulary, improve confidence and help individuals express themselves effectively.

Quoting Proverbs 18:21, she said, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue,” urging students to use words wisely as it could either bring blessing or curse. She also acknowledged the efforts of the organisers and the enthusiasm of students.
In the pencil sketch competition, Jhapransia Barla from Carmel School secured the first position, while Hoyeto from Carmel School secured second position and Hushelu Curhah from Patkai School and Kevisenuo Rio from Agape School shared the third position.

In the writing on visual input competition, Vizhanuo Yashü from North Town School won the first position, while Holi from Sacred Heart School won the second position. The third position was won by Helena Maria Varkey from Little Flower School, Nungsanginla from Vision School and Anmaria PS from St. John School.
In extempore speech competition, Rilila Sangtam from North Town School won the first position, while Esther Changsan from St. Joseph School won the second position and Winchamkam from Mount Mary School won the third position.
The programme concluded with prize distribution.
