
Players, organisers, and others during the second edition of
the Vikepelhu Lucas Meyase Memorial Volleyball Running Trophy in Viswema.
- DIMAPUR — The
Angami Catholic Youth Association (ACYA) held the second Vikepelhu Lucas Meyase
Memorial Volleyball Running Trophy at St. Joseph Higher Secondary School,
Viswema, hosted by St. Joseph Church, Viswema village.
- According to a press release, a total of 47 teams
participated in both the men's and women's categories.
- In the men's category, CYA St. John the Evangelist Church,
Khonoma, were declared champions, while CYA St. Paul Church, Phesama, secured
the runners-up position. Khrielekho Philip from Phesama was awarded the best
setter, and Mhiesileto Edmund from Khonoma also received the best setter award.

- In the women's category, CYA St. Xavier Church, Kidima,
emerged as champions, with CYA St. John the Evangelist Church, Khonoma,
finishing as runners-up. Mhiesimeno Margaret from Khonoma and Vikusale Veronica
Thol from Kidima were both named best setters.
- The semi-finalists in the women's category were CYA Rosa
Mystica Church, Rüzaphema Block-III, and CYA Sts. Peter and Paul Church,
Zhadima. In the men's category, the semi-finalists were CYA St. Luke Church,
Mima, and CYA St. Michael Church, Kigwema.
- The inaugural ceremony was attended by Angami Catholic Union
(ACU) vice president Mhiesinguto Mark, who lauded the enthusiasm of the youth
for turning up in large numbers despite the programme being postponed due to
the Pope's demise.
