- DIMAPUR — Altrura Society (AuS) celebrated its
12th foundation day on March 30 at its head office in Chümoukedima in the
presence of its members and well-wishers.
- An update from the organisation stated the programme began
with a mass prayer, while its vice president, Jaser Meru, led the programme and
the outgoing president, Megosielie Kruse, spoke on behalf of the outgoing team
and expressed gratitude to the members for their unwavering support and
dedication. He highlighted the collective achievements of the society and
acknowledged the efforts of every member, who contributed selflessly to the
community.
- In his exhortation, the organisation general secretary,
Visakuolie Medom, spoke on the importance of teamwork and unity. He stated that
the strength of a society lies in its members' shared commitment and
collaborative efforts.
- It stated that his words served as a call to action for
members to remain united and work together to address challenges and achieve
common goals.
- Meanwhile, the society has elected new team for the tenure
2025-2028 led by Ketousilie Meru as president, Visakuolie Medom as vice
president, Neivikho Savi as general secretary, Zakiesielie Chusi as joint
secretary, Neibi Nagi as treasurer, Keduosietuo Shuya as property secretary,
Keneiwelie Kin as games and sports secretary, Nguvikuolie Chüsi as information
and publicity secretary and Megosielie Kruse as advisor.

- In his speech, the new president, Ketousilie Meru reaffirmed
his dedication to the society's motto. He outlined a vision of inclusive
growth, emphasising sustainable development, youth empowerment and enhanced
community engagement.
- Meanwhile, the new team has pledged to uphold the society's
values and continue serving the community with dedication.
- It further stated that Altrura Society remains steadfast in
its mission to put ‘Service above self" and committed to creating a
lasting impact in the community.
