DIMAPUR — The All Sümi Students' Union (SKK) has called upon the Police Headquarters, Nagaland, to reconsider its directive and ensure that the individual marks of all candidates in the police recruitment examination are officially published by the district centres so that aggrieved candidates can have a clear understanding of the results after revaluation by the PHQ.
In a statement, the union maintained that every aspirant has the right to know his or her individual marks, stating that transparency and accountability are fundamental principles of any fair recruitment system.
The union stated that restricting the disclosure of marks creates confusion and raises unnecessary doubts among candidates who have participated in good faith.

While appreciating the effort involved in conducting the large-scale recruitment process, the SKK also urged the concerned authorities to adopt the OMR (Optical Mark Recognition) system for future written examinations.
“The implementation of the OMR system will ensure faster evaluation, reduce human error, and significantly enhance transparency and credibility in the recruitment process,” it maintained.
The union also acknowledged and appreciated the efforts of the Director General of Police, Nagaland and the state government for overseeing the recruitment process and expressed gratitude for the conduct of the examination.
According to official records cited by the union, the recruitment notification was issued on October 7, 2025. The Physical Efficiency Test (PET) was conducted from January 7 to 13, 2026, followed by the written examination on January 20, 2026.
The final results were declared on February 25, 2026. The union noted that nearly one month was taken for the evaluation of answer scripts after the written examination.
