The second session, chaired by ANTA headquarters president Dziesevituo Paul Solo, deliberated on key organisational matters, including a review of the 2025 general meeting resolution adopted at Longleng, along with agenda discussions and policy issues concerning the welfare and functioning of taxi operators across the state.
According to a press release issued by ANTA HQ, the house reaffirmed its earlier resolution dated June 25, 2024, withdrawing a previous notification addressed to the deputy commissioner of Dimapur, which had also been published in local dailies on July 9, 2024.
The resolution, it stated, was in compliance with orders issued by the Civil Judge (Senior Division), Dimapur, on February 7 and February 21, 2024, recognising the legitimacy of Ghunato Chophy and others as duly elected office bearers of the ANTA Dimapur unit, in accordance with the association’s constitution.
The meeting also discussed the issue of private agencies operating taxi services, with members adopting resolutions by consensus in line with constitutional provisions.
The decisions, the release stated, reflect ANTA’s commitment to strengthening unity, improving service standards and addressing challenges faced by taxi operators.
Additionally, ANTA Nagaland reaffirmed its “One government, one tax” resolution, originally adopted during the ACAUT Nagaland public rally.
The house further emphasised the importance of discipline, cooperation and public service among members to uphold the integrity of the transport sector.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Steve Chophy, advisor of ANTA Dimapur unit.
