Nagaland team wins golds and Best Discipline Award at the 36th National Jeet Kune Do Championship 2025 in New Delhi.

DIMAPUR — The Nagaland contingent of the All Nagaland Shaolin Kung-Fu Association (ANSKA) secured multiple medals and the Best Discipline Award 2025 at the 36th National Jeet Kune Do Championship 2025, held at the Talkatora Indoor Stadium, New Delhi, from December 14 to the 16th.
In the Senior Category, Namlang Zeliang won gold in Sanda Under 50 kg, Avisa Suokhrie won gold in Sanda Under 75 kg, and Nyurhunlo Kent won gold in Sanda Under 65 kg, stated a press release from ANSKA.

In the Junior Category, the gold medal winners included Abdul Sahir (Sanda Under 45 kg), Saronthung Christopher Yanthan (Under 50 kg), Paramita Paul (Under 55 kg), and Suma Meitei (Sanda Under 45 kg).
In the Masters Category, Dr. Ruokuo John Sorunuo won gold in Sanda Under 80 kg; Dr. Meyiesielie Albert Sorunuo won gold in Sanda Under 115 kg and was awarded Best Wushu Hall of Fame; and Dr. David Keneingutuo Sorunuo won gold in Sanda Under 95 kg.
Providing an overview of achievements in 2025, the association stated that through participation in national, international, Indo-Nepal, and South Asian competitions, it achieved 51 gold medals, nine silver medals, and one bronze medal.
