All Nagaland College Students Union to hold 22nd biennial general conference from October 27 to the 29th in Jalukie town under Peren.

DIMAPUR — The All Nagaland College Students Union (ANCSU) will hold its 22nd biennial general conference from October 27 to the 29th hosted by St. Xavier College in Jalukie town under Peren on the theme “Leadership & social responsibility.”
An update from the union stated that the conference would be a seminar-oriented event involving brainstorming sessions, seminar on narcotic and psychotropic pharmaceutical products regulations in Nagaland, substance abuse, Bengal Eastern Frontier Regulation 1873 (ILP), HIV&AIDS and employment opportunities in Japan with participation of dignitaries and resource persons from different professions.
The union is prepared to host 1000 delegates from 40 affiliated colleges, associate colleges and invitees from across the state, wherein it would discuss on the welfare of the college students’ community and Nagas in general.

It informed that KG Kenye, minister of Power and Parliamentary Affairs; TR Zeliang, Deputy Chief Minister in-charge of Planning and Transformation, National Highway; Temjen Imna Along, minister of Tourism and Higher Education; Aotula T Imchen, Commissioner of Police, Dimapur; Hiazu Meru, deputy commissioner of Peren; and Vilhousielie Kenguruse, former president of ANCSU, have consented to address the college students as introductory guest, inaugural guest, seminar guest, theme speaker, tree plantation guest and valedictory guest respectively.
It added that Senchumo (NSN) Lotha, chairman of NSF ILRC; Boto Sema, drugs control officer of Health and Family Welfare; Abou Mere, director of KRIPA Foundation; Pauheugau Rangkau, district ICTC supervisor, DISHA Peren; and representative from IDAN would be the resource persons. Mteisung Heraang, president of Naga Students’ Federation (NSF), and Adaube Hiekha Hau, president of Zeliangrong Students’ Union Nagaland (ZSUN), would share greetings.
On October 29, Miss ANCSU would be organised for the students to showcase and exhibit their talents in the field of beauty pageant, where Veineinem Singson Haolai, finance secretary of BASN, Miss Nagaland 2014, Miss North East Jewel Queen 2016; Nikali K Shohe, Miss Nagaland 1st Runner-Up 2024, Miss Sumi 2024; and Linokali Achumi, Miss Earth Nagaland 2023, would be the official judges for Miss ANCSU 2025.
It further informed that ANCSU general election for the tenure 2025-27 would be conducted during the general conference. It added that the union assembly would also be held at the venue to discuss and deliberate on the confronting issues and adopt resolutions to be taken up by the new tenure.
