DIMAPUR — Aizawl Football Club defeated Nagaland United Sports Club 2-0 in an exhibition football match titled “Match for Peace, Goal for Hope” at the Chümoukedima Football Stadium on Saturday.
Organised under the banner of the Nagaland Super League, the match was held in aid of underprivileged children. The initiative sought to harness the power of football to inspire hope, encourage sportsmanship, and strengthen bonds of friendship across communities.

An update stated that the programme was attended by Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio as the chief guest, alongside other ministers, advisors, and government officials. It was mentioned that the exhibition match attracted football enthusiasts, sports officials, and members of the public, who turned out in large numbers to witness the encounter and support the cause.
