
Wangpang Konyak along with other officials during
inauguration of the DPO office in Kiphire town on Thursday.
- DIMAPUR — Member
of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly (MLA) and advisor of Social Welfare,
Wangpang Konyak, inaugurated the office of the District Programme Officer (DPO)
in Kiphire on Thursday in the presence of Bodeno S Colo, secretary of Social
Welfare, and Tosheli Zhimomi, director of Social Welfare.
- Speaking at the inaugural programme, the advisor expressed
his happiness on the successful completion of the office building and urged the
officers and staff to utilise the facility with care and serve the downtrodden
and vulnerable sections of the society.
- The director of Social Welfare, who also chaired the
inaugural programme, exhorted the officers and staff to be sincere in their
assigned duties. She also thanked all the staff and stakeholders for making the
programme a success.

- A DIPR report stated that the office building was dedicated
by Allison, pastor of KTBC North Zone, Kiphire.
- The MLA was accompanied by joint secretary and project
director of Poshan Abhiyaan, Olemjungla; joint director of Social Welfare,
Imkongzenla; assistant director of Society Welfare, Akali Sema; assistant
director of Social Welfare Hebou Rio; state coordinator of Mission Shakti,
Gracy Aye; programme manager of SCPS, Raitali; and state consultant of state
project management unit (SPMU) Poshan Abhiyaan, Temjen Ao.
- After the inaugural programme, the officials inspected
various social welfare centres in Kiphire town.
