Picto Shohe emphasised innovation and exposure visits to boost Nagaland's renewable energy initiatives and growth.

DIMAPUR — Advisor for New and Renewable Energy (NRE), Picto Shohe, held a coordination meeting with the Administrative Head of Department (AHoD) and officials of the Directorate of NRE at the directorate office in Kohima on Tuesday.
According to a DIPR report, the meeting was chaired by Additional Director, NRE, Inaho Awomi.
Addressing the gathering, Shohe highlighted the success of several key projects undertaken by the department, including the Zhadima Solar Plant, the Punglwa Hydro Project, and the 2x5 MW Solar Power Plant at Hovukhu village.
He said these projects hold significant potential for generating local employment and enhancing the state's revenue.
Emphasising the need for capacity building and innovation, Shohe stressed the importance of organising exposure visits to states that have successfully implemented renewable energy initiatives in order to adopt advanced technologies and best practices in the sector.

He also assured the officials that the chief minister is fully supportive of the department and would extend assistance to well-conceived and viable projects.
Highlighting the importance of collective effort, Shohe said the department functions as one family and called for the full cooperation of all officials in working towards the greater good of the department and the state.
