Yanthan along with other officials during inspection to the ongoing
Mangmetong-Doyang road construction under PMGSY-III in Wokha district on
Wednesday.
- WOKHA — To assess the progress of the ongoing
Mangmetong-Doyang road construction under PMGSY-III in Wokha district, Mhathung
Yanthan advisor of Agriculture, undertook a physical inspection on Wednesday
and interacted with affected villagers.
- During
interaction with the villagers, Yanthan has sought their cooperation and
support by emphasizsing the significance of the road in fulfilling their
long-felt need of the road. He stated that the road would serve not only the
Sungro range but also connect and benefit the neighbouring districts including
Mokokchung.
- Expressing
the local community’s strong desire for timely completion, he stressed the
importance of maintaining high work quality without compromise.

- Observing
the slow progress of the work, he urged the concerned contractors to put in
extra efforts and completed the work by June next. He further reminded the
contractors to put their trust on the people by considering the importance of
the road for the region.
- The advisor
also appreciated the affected villagers for their continued support with the
construction firm. He encouraged them to remain committed to the project's
successful completion, reminding them that government schemes and developmental
projects serve a specific purpose and often present once-in-a-lifetime
opportunities. He further urged the community to uphold the road’s intended
purpose as it stands as a vital lifeline for them.
