- DIMAPUR — The
Dimapur Naga Students' Union (DNSU) praised the Government of Nagaland and
congratulated all stakeholders involved in the successful operationalisation of
the Science block at Dimapur Government College (DGC).
- In a press statement, the DNSU said it had been advocating
for the functionality of the Science block, which was inaugurated on November
12, 2020, but remained non-operational for a prolonged period.
- “Recognising the hardships faced by aspiring science
students—many of whom were compelled to pursue studies outside the state—the
DNSU consistently highlighted this concern to the appropriate authorities,” the
statement read.

- Stating that the announcement of B.Sc. admissions for the
academic year 2025 by Dimapur Government College—with major courses in
Mathematics and Physics, and minor courses in Chemistry, Computer Science,
Mathematics, and Physics—signals a major breakthrough, the student body noted
that this development ensures students will now have access to a well-rounded and
robust science curriculum within their home state.
