Advisor Kropol Vitsu inaugurated the AIFFSO Nagaland office in Kohima, highlighting the role of freedom fighters’ descendants in preserving patriotic legacy.

DIMAPUR — Advisor for Prisons, Printing and Stationery, Kropol Vitsu, on Wednesday inaugurated the office of the All India Freedom Fighters Successors’ Organisation (AIFFSO) Nagaland at Industry Centre, Kohima.
Speaking at the inaugural programme, Vitsu lauded the legacy of India’s freedom fighters and emphasised the importance of preserving their sacrifices through the involvement of their descendants.
He also shared glimpses of India’s freedom movement, highlighting the courage, sacrifice, and struggles of countless freedom fighters who laid the foundation for the country’s independence. He reminded the gathering that the spirit of their struggle must continue to inspire and guide future generations.
He said the new office in Kohima would serve as a platform to honour their contributions and promote patriotic values among the younger generation.

Informing that AIFFSO Nagaland presently has 73 registered members, he said, “We must remember the courage and sacrifices made by our freedom fighters and let it be a source of our patriotism and determination while also giving them due respect and to their family members.”
Vitsu also expressed gratitude to the government of Nagaland for allotting rooms to the organisation in the old Industries office building, enabling the smooth functioning of AIFFSO in the state.
Councillor of Kohima Municipal Council Ward 12, Upper Chandmari, Ahelie Theyo, along with Panchayat leaders, was also present on the occasion.
