DIMAPUR — The deputy commissioner of Dimapur has issued additional guidelines for the issuance of Inner Line Permits (ILP) in the district, in pursuance of the Home department’s June 18 notification.

Under the new directives, issued on Friday, the identity card of a central or state government employee will be sufficient for their family and dependents in lieu of an ILP. Additionally, the heads of duly registered public or private companies can stand as guarantors for their regular employees.

Employer certification will also be accepted as a form of guarantor, provided it is supported by the landlord or house owner.

Transit passengers may be exempted from producing an ILP, it stated.

For Dimapur district, under the floating population category, offline ILP for daily wage labourers will be issued with immediate effect, subject to guarantor verification by the landlord, house owner, companies, or firms, it added.
