DIMAPUR — The BasCon 8 Festival 2025 began on a vibrant and high-spirited note with a powerful performance by Abiogenesis, a folk fusion band from Nagaland, on December 6.
An update stated that the band captivated audience at the picturesque venue located on the banks of rivers Hei and Kidi in Basar town with their signature Naga howey music.
It stated that Abiogenesis’ dynamic opening-day performance added a memorable dimension to this year’s edition, drawing praise from festival organisers and attendees alike.

The four-day Basar Confluence, one of Arunachal Pradesh’s most distinctive cultural and ecological gatherings since 2017, brought together art, music, craft, tradition and community.
Basar is a scenic town located in Leparada district of Arunachal Pradesh, known for its lush green landscapes, rolling hills and vibrant tribal culture. It is home to the Galo tribe.
