A Yhome FC, Langsa Hill FC secure wins in 9th Captain N Kenguruse MVC Memorial Football Tournament

KOHIMA — A Yhome FC and Langsa Hill FC emerged victorious in their respective matches on Tuesday in the ongoing 9th Captain N Kenguruse MVC Memorial Football Tournament at Indira Gandhi (IG) Stadium, Kohima.

In the first match, A Yhome FC defeated Bhandari FC 3–2 after a tough fight. Renjamo Mozhui from Bhandari FC scored the first goal of the match in the 17th minute; however, Kevizakie equalised the score in the 18th minute.

Neikethozo scored the second goal for A Yhome FC in the 57th minute, but Sungchung equalised again in the 66th minute. Finally, Zhapuvi from A Yhome FC scored another goal in the 84th minute, leading the team to victory.

In the second match of the day, Langsa Hill FC registered a resounding 10–0 victory against Defenders FC. Ghuqhe scored three goals while Eshong netted four, both achieving hat-tricks. Hivika and Vinato also contributed one goal each in the 34th and 49th minutes respectively.

Ghuqhe scored in the 20th, 40th, and 51st minutes of the game, while Eshong scored in the 22nd, 47th, 55th, 59th, and 73rd minutes. In contrast, Defenders FC struggled to maintain possession, with only 33.47% on the ball, and the game ended without a goal from their side.
