nutritional outcomes through Social and Behaviour Change Communication (SBCC)

- The first theme focuses on the first 1000 days of life,
emphasising maternal and child nutrition from conception to age two. This
approach aims to break the intergenerational cycle of malnutrition.
- The second theme is the popularisation of the Beneficiary
Module, which promotes the self-registration of eligible individuals on the
Poshan Tracker Application. The goal is to increase registrations and reduce
pendency.
- The third theme addresses the management of malnutrition
through the CMAM Protocol. This initiative seeks to enhance community-level
identification, referral, and follow-up of malnourished children using the
Community-Based Management of Acute Malnutrition (CMAM) module.
- The fourth theme focuses on promoting healthy lifestyles to
address childhood obesity. It raises awareness about obesity as a public health
issue and encourages preventive strategies through community-based events.
- The Pakhwada will be supported by a media campaign,
including nukkadnataks, jingles, radio programmes and social media engagement
to boost awareness and participation.
- With a united effort across ministries and community
stakeholders, Poshan Pakhwada 2025 aims to accelerate progress towards a
Suposhit Bharat, focusing on pregnant women, children, adolescents, and
underserved populations.
